Would you like to get some fitness this winter break? If so, please complete this winter break challenge. The class that has the highest percentage of participation will earn an extra 30 minutes of fun fitness in the gym with just their class. Enjoy your winter break and GET SOME FITNESS! The last day to complete the form is January 2, 2012 HUT HUT! PARENT NOTE: Children and adolescents need to get 60 or more minutes of physical activity each day. This should include a combination of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, and vigorous-intensity activity, such as running. Activities that increase the heart rate, making conversations difficult while moving, are considered to be moderate to vigorous physical activities. Be sure to include vigorous-intensity aerobic activity on at least three days per week. Another way for you to determine if you are getting the U.S. Surgeon General’s recommendation for daily physical activity is to strive for at least 10,000 steps a day!
